Woods & Trails
On our Castle grounds, you will enjoy acres of natural beauty including our own wooded trails for walking and biking. Every day throughout September and October offers an amazing color display and then, as the trees shed their leaves, the sky opens up and the tree branches become art in their own right. Every day is a landscape painting just for your viewing pleasure.
Guests bring their own bikes or rent our fat tire bikes for the trails in any season. The mornings offer the golden aura of the sunrise, the sounds of nature as it awakens, and time to stroll amidst a more quiet and serene environment. Afternoons are warmer and migrating birds can be heard in their flight, but there’s plenty of space to stretch out and relax with just the two of you. As evening comes, guests admire the sunset before heading back to warm up by the firelight.
Firelight & Starlight
Our charming gazebo with twinkle lights and covered deck with fire table are where couples love to sit and relax throughout the fall evenings. With a hot cup of cocoa or fresh apple cider, you and your sweetheart can enjoy intimate conversation against a backdrop of night sounds and twinkling stars.
For a better look at the night sky, venture to our private lake. Here, you can cuddle on a blanket to see the setting sun and emerging stars. For a bit more adventure, head to award-winning Oval Beach on Lake Michigan and located near Saugatuck MI. The beach is nestled among towering sand dunes and open year-round.
Wineries & Vineyards
There’s something about a vineyard that makes our hearts skip a beat. Whether you’re curious about wine or you’re a wine aficionado, our nearby Michigan wineries and vineyards are sure to please. Sparkling, sweet, tart, dry… there’s a flavor for every palate. Some of our local wineries offer tours and all offer tastings where you can spend a few hours sampling.
