Sand Dunes & “Just Add Water”
Oval Beach is a top rated beach located a scenic 40 minutes from our inn in Saugatuck, MI. In the evening you can enjoy this quiet, secluded beach and watch the water peacefully ripple. Guests also love the challenge of hiking up the famous Mount Baldhead and viewing the amazing sand dunes.

Visit Douglas Beach, a serene lakeshore beach in Douglas, MI for a private setting. This is the perfect place to bring a picnic lunch! Picnic tables and grills are available for use. After dinner at a great restaurant nearby enjoy the sunset while taking a romantic walk.

Westside County Park
Westside County Park is located just over half an hour’s drive from the inn and consists of 11 acres of gorgeous sand ideal for that romantic walk. With gorgeous landscapes and covered pavilions, this is the best place to watch the sunset over Lake Michigan. Just 15 minutes away you will find Salt of the Earth, a divine restaurant that focuses on local and organic ingredients at their beautifully rustic location. Salt of the Earth is a favorite dinner destination among guests. Open for dinner Sunday through Thursday, 5pm-9pm and Friday and Saturday, 5pm-10pm.
Michigan’s Maritime History & Craft Beers
South Beach is located just 38 minutes from the inn in South Haven. Soak up some history here with a beautiful historic lighthouse and the world famous Maritime Museum. Then take a dip in the lake and end the day with a refreshing wine or craft beer from Clementine. Or enjoy a martini or small plate from Taste.
Sunsets & Pampering
Holland State Park
Holland State Park, located an hour from our bed and breakfast, is well worth the drive. Famous for its expansive and roomy sandy beaches, Holland State Park is the perfect place to enjoy watching the sunset on the beach. Or during the day volleyball courts and great fishing spots are available for use. There are enough fun activities to fill up a whole day at Holland State Park! When you’re tired and ready to head back to the inn, close out the perfect summer day with a trip to New Holland Brewing company and bring a growler back to the inn to enjoy in front of the outdoor fire place.
Sunbathing & Sips
Tunnel Park, located one hour from the inn, is a popular 22 acre park known for ideal swimming and sunbathing. With unparalleled views of Lake Michigan, you can’t go wrong spending the day here. Make your way back to the inn after a day in the sun and enjoy a glass of wine in the gazebo. Does it get any better?
