Distilleries – Newest Trend in Southwest Michigan

So many of our guests return to us eager to visit the tasting rooms of amazing wineries like Fenn Valley, breweries like Bell’s, and hard cider tasting rooms like Virtue. The newest trend cropping up in Southwest Michigan are distilleries and we’re happy to direct our guests to some of the best.

1). CopperCraft Distillery– Holland, MI

Tours, cocktails and flights all served in an industrial chic atmosphere perfect for a tasting on the way back home from the downtown farmer’s market or beach. Grab a spirits flight at the bar or a specialty cocktail, or take a tour (see the schedule here>).
Royal Recommendation: Coppercraft is a little out of the way from downtown Holland but the atmosphere and amazing spirits make it well worth the trip.

2.) New Holland Brewing- Spirits- located downtown Holland, New Holland Brewing produces it’s own line of spirits (notably Knickerbocker Gin). Enjoy their their downtown 8th street brewpub location, and a craft brew or craft cocktail.

3.) Round Barn Distillery- The Round Barn spirits (along with their wines) can be tasted at the Round Barn winery tasting room in Baroda, Michigan. Round Barn also has a brewery and public house in Baroda.
*Royal Recommendation: Because of it’s location, Round Barn is only ideal for guests needing a stopping point on their way to our Inn or the way back from Chicago area (about an hour drive from our Inn).

4.) Journeyman Distillery

Extend your vacation by stopping into Journeyman on your way back home. Located in Three Oaks, Michigan, Journeyman is the perfect stopping point on the way to our Inn or back home. Schedule a tour here –> , view their many food/spirit options here –>

5.) St. Julian Winery – located in Paw Paw Michigan (just off 1-94 for guests coming from Chicago or Detroit) St. Julian also carries a line of Hard Ciders (Gunga-Din) and includes tasting options of over 40 wines as well as their Grey Heron Vodka and A&G Brandy.
