Salt of the Earth
This Fennville, MI restaurant is a previous Food Network feature with farm-to-table focused food and a rustic atmosphere. Featuring live folk music throughout the year on site, it has been a long-term guest favorite with many of our guests opting to eat there two nights in a row during their stay. Salt of the Earth is one of our innkeeper’s strongest recommendations for a romantic dinner date with your sweet someone. It is a longer dining experience and a very popular restaurant and they don’t take reservations, so we suggest arriving early and ordering an amazing shared plate right away to fully enjoy your meal.
Food Dance
Food Dance is a vibrant downtown Kalamazoo restaurant located about 30 minutes from our scenic country inn. This popular restaurant features an impressive number of vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free options. Food Dance also has an extensive gift shop, bakery/deli, and wine shop we recommend visiting before you leave, perfect for dessert with mini-cakes and cupcakes that are just the right size for two. We recommend Food Dance especially for busy week-end nights because they offer online reservations you can make directly through your smart device.
Butch’s Dry Dock
Butch’s Dry Dock is located about 30 miles from us in Holland, MI, one of our favorite day-trip destination towns. Our favorite features are the expansive wine cellar and upscale dining tables overlooking beautiful downtown 8th street of Holland.
