Castle in the Country provides the perfect setting for relaxing, renewing, refreshing and when adding our "Make any day Special/Romance Package," you'll allow us to take care of all the details for you.
Your gift bag will contain all the extra special touches you need for setting the mood to leave the world behind. We'll provide Inn mugs or wineglasses, chocolates, a scented candle, and a CD of romantic piano music recorded exclusively for the Michigan Lake to Lake Bed and Breakfast Association. The best part is you get to take it home with you to remind you of your visit anytime. A romantic dinner for two is included in this special package. Or, for an extra special treat, stay in your Castle in the Country robe and we'll bring your full breakfast tray right to your room. Winter Wonderland Ski Anytime Package

After enjoying the great outdoors, enjoy our great indoors. This package includes 2 Adult Day Pass Lift Tickets to either of two nearby (10 minutes away) downhill Ski resorts, Bittersweet or Timber Ridge. You will also have your choice of a picnic basket with homemade bread, crackers and cheese, snacks and your choice of a complimentary beverage or a Welcome gift bag that contains all the goodies you need to snuggle up and enjoy a cozy evening at the inn: Hot Cocoa, chocolates, candle and CD. Leave the Driving to Us - Winery Tour Trips Anytime

We're right in the heart of the Southwest Michigan Wine Trail and we'd love to be your tour guide to the best wineries in the area. You choose the length of the trip that you want to take, and we'll schedule your own chauffeur driven limousine or town car to drive you through your wine country tour in style. There are three popular packages and you can choose any one of these, or talk with the Innkeeper about customizing your trip.
Just a taste of a trip- approx. 3 hour trip includes 2 -4 wineries and a picnic basket = $450
Tickling the Taste buds - approx. 6 hour trip includes 4-5 wineries, a chocolate shop, picnic basket = $650
Top of the Tasting Tours - 8 hour trip includes up to 6 wineries, a chocolate shop, picnic basket, & dinner voucher = $850

Planes, Trains and Automobiles Anytime Package

Know someone who wants to spend a few hours dreaming about flying like a bird, hearing the whistle of a far off train or getting up close to some of America's first automotive beauties? This package is just the ticket for filling a day or two with some of the best examples of our love affair with planes, trains and automobiles. (The Gilmore Car Museum is open May-October only, all other locations are open year round)
We'll provide your passport for two to the newly renovated Kalamazoo Air Zoo, a voucher for lunch for two at the Alamo Depot, a restaurant located within an authentic Pullman Passenger Car, and day passes for two at the Gilmore Car Museum. You'll be able to stroll the immaculately groomed grounds and revel in the magnificent red barns filled with shining automotive history. We'll wrap up the whole adventure with Dinner for Two at the nearby Grill House restaurant, a marvelous steak house that was once used as a Stagecoach Stop in Michigan. Join us anytime during the Holiday Season of 2008- 2009(November 21 thru January 19) and let us help you warm up your Christmas Spirit. Our three-story Victorian castle is decorated from head to toe with lights, and special Christmas ornaments. Each guest room features its own individually decorated tree and our expansive common rooms will welcome you in with their own citrus scented live Concolor Christmas trees. Arrive early and follow our suggestions for shopping small towns for big bargains in antiques, art and anything that your heart desires. On Friday evenings, enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride in Downtown Allegan or visit the surrounding towns for their Christmas parades and glittering festivities. You may wish to pick out your own fresh Christmas tree at one of numerous tree farms.
